Player Code of Conduct

Piedmont picklers have worked hard to create a fun, welcoming environment for players of all levels. Our Code of Conduct asks that every player: 

• Engage in sportsmanlike conduct and encourage others to do so

• Treat others with respect

• Never use profanity

• Avoid behavior that would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of others

• Refrain from playing electronic speakers

• At all times wear a shirt, some kind of pant, short, or skirt, and court-specific footwear

• Eye protection is strongly recommended

Players violating this Code of Conduct will be given one warning. A second, or severe, violation will result in suspension from play. The term of the suspension will be determined by the Piedmont Pickleball Committee in conjunction with the Piedmont Recreation Department.

Court Usage

All Piedmont pickleball locations are open play. There are no reservations. 

When the courts are busy, sign up using the whiteboard. Go onto an open court when your group's square comes up.

Players must rotate off after one game if the courts are full and other players are waiting. In this case, waiting players have priority even if fewer than four. 

We encourage players to strike a balance between mixing in with different players and seeking competitive play.
