To join the open play group chat, join here. If you're looking to play and wondering how busy it is at each pickleball venue in Piedmont, you can find out before heading over to the courts. As this is a growing group chat with 200+ members, try to only post items only related to open play in Piedmont.
Code of Conduct
Piedmont pickleball players have worked hard to create a fun, welcoming environment for players of all levels. Our Code of Conduct asks that every player:
Engage in sportsmanlike conduct and encourage others to do so
Treat others with respect
Display fairness and honesty in dealing with others
Never use profanity
Avoid behavior that would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of others
Refrain from playing electronic speakers
At all times wear a shirt, some kind of pant, short, or skirt, and court-specific footwear
Eye protection is strongly recommended
Players violating this Code of Conduct will be given one warning. A second, or severe, violation will result in suspension from play. The term of the suspension will be determined by the Piedmont Pickleball Committee in conjunction with the Piedmont Recreation Department.
Court Usage
All Piedmont pickleball locations are open play. No reservations. Play one game and then let the next group on.
A whiteboard, divided into squares, tracks the order of play. Go onto an open court when your group's square comes up.
Sign up with players of your choice and/or skill level. We have markers in three colors:
Green for Beginners and Advanced Beginners
Blue for Intermediate (2.5 to 3.0)
Black for Advanced (3.5 and above)
